Beagle Foodie + Penguin Watching is a private experience combining a culinary adventure at Diana's home — the only female captain on the Canal Beagle in Puerto Almanza — with a Zodiac ride to Isla Martillo to spot Gentoo and Magellanic penguins. The tour departs from Ushuaia, includes stops at laguna Victoria and bahía Brown, a three-course lunch with wine, and a bilingual guide. Operates Tuesday to Saturday during the summer season, with a maximum of 10 guests at lunch.
About the experience
A unique dining experience at Diana's home — the only female captain on the Beagle — combined with a Zodiac boat ride from Puerto Almanza to spot Gentoo and Magellanic penguins up close near Isla Martillo. Private service.
This activity is offered exclusively as a private service. The journey begins in Ushuaia, heading north to the turnoff onto Ruta Provincial J, with a refreshment stop at laguna Victoria and a photo stop at the breathtaking scenery of bahía Brown.
The route continues to Puerto Almanza, the main port of artisanal fishermen who focus mainly on king crab. A few kilometres away, Diana's home awaits — a celebrated fisherwoman and the only female captain on the Canal Beagle — who cooks and guides guests step by step through the flavours of the Beagle in an unforgettable culinary experience.
Afterwards, a small boat departs from Puerto Almanza along the Canal Beagle to Isla Martillo (about 30 minutes), for up-close sightings of Gentoo and Magellanic penguins, before returning to Ushuaia.

Important: reaching Diana's home requires a 1 km walk along a forest trail with uneven terrain. The lunch venue accommodates a maximum of 10 guests and the Zodiac up to 20. Operates Tuesday to Saturday, morning departures.
