The Cascada del Toro & Underground River experience is an active cave tourism journey in the Reserva Natural Valle de Los Lisos, beneath the Los Gigantes massif in the sierras grandes of Córdoba, Argentina. Visitors travel through granite galleries and caverns, descending some 40 metres to reach Cascada del Toro — considered the tallest underground waterfall in Latin America at 29 metres high and located at 2,100 metres above sea level. The activity runs year-round with bilingual guides, safety equipment and neoprene gear included, operated by Eco Valles SAS / Rva. Natural Valle de Los Lisos.

About the experience

An underground exploration beneath the Los Gigantes massif, journeying through galleries of eroded rock to reach the impressive drop of Cascada del Toro.

Trekking & Cave Tourism

A fascinating immersion into the heart of the mountain. This active speleoturism experience leads visitors through galleries and caverns formed by massive granite blocks, descending some 40 metres to where a crystal-clear, cold underground river flows. Equipped with headlamps and guided under strict safety protocols, hikers make their way through narrow passages and natural vaulted chambers before emerging in front of Cascada del Toro — a waterfall hidden within a sheltered gorge. A sensory and technical journey that reveals the hidden dimension of the sierra's hydrology.

A true visual spectacle awaits: watching the water fall like rain. Amid the lush green valleys, there is a place where water shapes one of Córdoba's most breathtaking landscapes — La Quebrada del Toro, where dozens of waterfalls cascade one after another. Among them all, one stands out above the rest: Cascada del Toro. Visiting it is an incredibly rewarding experience, as you must reach it by navigating a labyrinth of passages and chambers that descend through the granite fissure in which it lies.

The stunning underground waterfall known as Cascada del Toro sits at 2,100 metres above sea level, beneath the Los Gigantes massif, in the gorge that shares its name, within the sierras grandes of Córdoba, Argentina.

Cascada del Toro stands 29 metres tall, fed by rainfall and natural springs that form an underground stream, which eventually flows into the Río El Cajón. This waterfall is considered the tallest underground waterfall in Latin America.

A setting that captivates, inspires and moves you. The vast natural vault in which it is found is part of this magnificent underground scenery — a landscape beneath the earth that does nothing but create truly unforgettable memories.
