Lagos 4x4 & Canoas

The tour heads north along Ruta Nacional 3, passing Cerro Castor and crossing the Andes to kick off the real 4x4 adventure: massive muddy tracks and water crossings leading to the imposing shores of lago Fagnano, with time to take in this extraordinary place.

The route then opens up to even more thrilling trails as you venture into the forest, hiking through an exclusive, off-trail area to reach lago Escondido. There, the TieRRa refuge awaits with a traditional Argentine asado paired with malbec wine. To finish, explore the lake in canoes — in pairs and with top-of-the-line equipment.

Suggested itinerary:

• 8:30 Hotel pick-up
• 9:30 Scenic stop at valle Carbajal
• 10:15 Scenic stop at Paso Garibaldi
• 11:15 Start of the 4x4 circuit
• 12:00 Arrival at the shore of lago Fagnano and snack
• 13:00 Forest trekking
• 13:45 Lunch at the refuge on the shores of lago Escondido
• 15:00 Canoeing on lago Escondido
• 17:00 Return to the city

The tour is conducted in Land Rover Defender, Chevrolet Trailblazer or similar vehicles (maximum 6 passengers). Canoeing may be cancelled at the guide's discretion. Daily departures in Spanish/English, available as a group or private tour. Summer season (October 1st to May 30th).
