About the experience
The classic excursion to the foot of Fitz Roy: 19.6 km with 890 m of elevation gain and breathtaking views of the glacial lake. Departures almost daily with AAGM-certified guides.
The most iconic outing from El Chaltén: we hike from the village to Laguna de los Tres, at 1,162 m above sea level, with Fitz Roy (3,405 m) dominating the horizon.
The route is demanding but requires no technical skills. The final climb up the moraine is the toughest section; from the top, the views of the glacier and the lake make every step worthwhile.
