About the experience
The winter version of the 4x4 adventure: a ski resort with optional activities, Patagonian forests over ice and snow toward Lagos Escondido and Fagnano, a hike along old woodcutters' trails, and lunch at a mountain refuge.
For those seeking a true adventure where ice and snow become pure fun. The excursion picks travelers up at their hotel and heads north along Ruta Nacional 3, stopping at several scenic viewpoints. A visit to a winter resort offers the option to ride snowmobiles.
Later, heading toward Lagos Escondido and Fagnano, the group explores Patagonian forests aboard Toyota SW4 4x4 trucks, driving over ice and reaching the most rugged corners of the landscape, with an interesting hike along old woodcutters' trails.
The expedition ends at a cozy mountain refuge with a full traditional Argentine lunch: a platter of salami and cheese, beef asado, chorizo, salad, dessert, and free-flow drinks (wine and water), plus coffee, tea, and mate cocido.
Suggested itinerary:
- 9:00 Departure
- 10:00 Arrival at the winter resort and activities
- 11:30 Departure toward Lagos Escondido and Fagnano
- 12:00 Start of the 4x4 circuit
- 13:30 Arrival at the refuge for lunch
- 17:00 Return to Ushuaia
Winter season (June 1 to September 30). Available as a shared or private service, minimum 2 people. Languages: Spanish/English. Optional activities at the winter resort are not included.
