About the experience

The classic Ushuaia experience: ride the world's southernmost railway with a stop at La Macarena waterfall, then explore the scenic viewpoints of Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, lago Acigami and bahía Lapataia.

Departing from the city of Ushuaia heading southwest along Ruta Nacional N.º 3, the first stop is the Tren del Fin del Mundo station — the world's southernmost operating railway. This charming train connects the station to the national park, with a stop at La Macarena waterfall, and ends at the park's station, where your guide will be waiting to continue the tour.

From there, you'll visit several scenic highlights within the park: the breathtaking lago Acigami and the famous bahía Lapataia, where beaver dams and peat bogs can be spotted. Unlike other national parks in Argentina, this one brings together coastal, forest, lake, river and mountain landscapes — a true showcase of the island's extraordinary biodiversity.

The return to the city leaves plenty of time to combine the day with an afternoon cruise along the Canal Beagle.
