Ascent to Loma del Pliegue Tumbado (1,520 m): 16.6 km with 1,040 m of elevation gain and a 360° panoramic view over the Fitz Roy massif and Cerro Torre. Demanding difficulty.
One of the most accessible summits near El Chaltén, offering the best panoramic views of the valley: from Loma del Pliegue Tumbado you can see Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre and the Campo de Hielo Sur all at once.
The route is demanding due to the cumulative elevation gain, but involves no technical sections. The trail climbs steadily from the village all the way to the summit.
